530 Date of Birth:  I am convinced that 9 Feb 1870 is correct based on the following. (1) Her granddaughter, Elizabeth Rae CLAXTON LANDOLT, who provided the death certificate information, was probably correct on the day and month, because she would have known when her grandmother's birthday was celebrated. But the year (1876) is incorrect. (2) The 1870 Census and the 1900 Census state that she was born in Feb 1870 (See following note.). - W. Winston COCHRANE IV

1870 Census, Kentucky, Laurel County, Raccoon District, Page 21 and 22 from the Family Search website: (This data is also transcribed by the Laurel County Historical Society in their Book #112A, Page 134.) The original census taker made some errors. On Page 22, #157 is James F. Doughty. The sons listed under him (James and Thomas) are not his sons. On Page 21, #154 is Henry Thomas. Listed under him are James F. Doughty's family in 1870, his wife, Martha, and their 2 daughters, Lillie B. and Rosa L. - W. Winston COCHRANE IV

580 Elizabeth FREEMAN first married John Jacob Coignan DANSIE between 1700-1707, and secondly married Edloe MORELOCK. The records of General Court were destroyed, and this information is based on surviving notations of pending cases in 1723. Therefore, the substance of the case is unknown. But since Margaret SYME's maiden surname, DANSIE, is the same as the first husband of Elizabeth MORELOCK, it can be assumed that they were related, and the issue was probably concerning distribution of estates from one or more Wills. Family: GEDDES, Capt. John / DANSIE, Margaret (F312)

581 Elizabeth's surname before her marriage in the 1860 census is ARMBRUSTER. Also, on her son's (John) Social Security application her maiden name is ARMBRUSTER. She was either adopted or just began using the surname of her mother's second husband around 1856. On her death record, her father is listed as HERMAN ARMBRUSTER. HERMANN, Elizabeth (I1269)
