  • Notes
    • Although many histories of the MERIWETHER family state that Nicholas married Elizabeth WOODHOUSE, daughter of Henry WOODHOUSE, the Meriwether Society has not been able to find any evidence of that. It is proven that at the time of Nicholas' death, he was married to a woman with the first name of Elizabeth. Also, the Meriwether Society states that there is some evidence that Nicholas was married twice, but without knowing any more about their names. - W. Winston COCHRANE IV, July 2015 [8]
