1821 - Bledsoe County received land from Hamilton County and from Rhea County.

1832 - Bledsoe County received land from Marion County.

1836 - Marion County received land from Bledsoe County.

1855 - Cumberland County formed from portions of Bledsoe County, Morgan County, Roane County, Fentress County, Putnam County and Rhea County.

1857 - Sequatchie County formed from portions of Bledsoe County and Marion County, creating Bledsoe County's present day boundries.
