Notes:
Union Hill - Cabell Family Home, Hardwicksville (Wingina), Nelson, Virginia, USA

Union Hill was built by Col. William Cabell, Sr. (1730-1798) starting in 1775 and completing it 4 years later. Building materials were scarce during the Revolution, so most of the house was constructed from materials on the site. In addition to cutting beams and boards from trees, bricks, nails and spikes were made locally. The house was called Union Hill to reflect on the new union of states from the Revolution.
